Para sa mga guro at paaralanFor teachers, schools and supporters

Isang libreng kurso: 13 aralin, mula sa isang LED hanggang sa robot na lumalaban. A free course: 13 lessons, from one LED to a fighting robot. Electronics and programming, taught in Tagalog with the technical vocabulary in English, run by a former aircraft avionics engineer at no charge. It ends in a tournament the whole school can watch.

Ang hagdan ng kurikulumThe curriculum ladder

Each lesson introduces exactly one idea and may lean on everything before it. Lessons 1–9 are shared with the drone continuation; the course splits at lesson 10.

#Aralin / LessonIntroduces
1Ang circuit ay isang bilogThe loopA circuit is a loop; break it anywhere and everything stops. Breadboard, LED, one resistor.
2Gaano karaming kuryente?Ohm's lawCurrent limiting. Predict → test → destroy: 1 kΩ dim, 220 Ω bright, 10 Ω dead.
3Ang switchSwitchesBreaking the loop on purpose. Why a 4-leg button is really 2 pairs.
4Isang direksyon langDiodesPolarity; current flows one way only. The LED is a diode too.
5Unang codeFirst codeESP32 + Arduino IDE. A microcontroller is a switch you can program.
6Mga loop at listahanCode that countsVariables, loops, arrays, the serial monitor. Stop copying, start programming.
7Pakikinig sa pindutanReading the worldDigital input and pull-ups; why a floating pin lies.
8Switch na walang kamayMOSFETsSwitching more current than a pin can carry. The gate.
9Dalawang paraan para pabagalin ang motorMotors and PWMPWM; why burning voltage as heat is the wrong way. The flyback diode becomes essential.
10PabalikH-bridgeBidirectional control with a DRV8833. Four switches, two diagonal pairs.
11Kontrol na walang wireWireless controlBluetooth gamepad pairing, and a failsafe for when the link drops.
12Idisenyo ang sarili mong botCAD and printingA parametric chassis each pupil customises. Design is a parameter you change.
13Ang labanThe fightThe tournament. Iteration after breakage — the hook, delivered.

After 13, pupils who want to continue go on to a quadcopter: orientation sensing (IMU), closed-loop control, four-motor mixing, soldering and PCB design. That continuation is mapped but not yet built; it is deliberately a second finish line, not a requirement.

KagamitanEquipment

All of it is supplied by the club. Nothing is asked of the school beyond the room.

Bawat mesaPer bench (2–3 pupils share one)

  • Breadboard and jumper wires
  • LEDs, resistors (10 Ω, 220 Ω, 1 kΩ), push buttons
  • 1N4007 diodes; a potentiometer with a knob
  • ESP32 microcontroller and USB cable
  • MOSFET, DRV8833 motor driver, two small DC motors
  • Battery pack (low voltage, toy-safe)

Para sa buong klaseShared by the class

  • A TV or projector showing the interactive graphic
  • One laptop for the Arduino IDE
  • Bluetooth gamepads
  • A 3D printer (Bambu Lab A1 mini) for chassis parts
  • 150 g robots: 3D-printed body, printed spinner
  • A battle box with a 4.5 mm solid polycarbonate enclosure

Paano ito tumutugma sa STEMHow it maps to STEM

ScienceAgham

Circuits, current, Ohm's law, polarity, heat as wasted energy, switching. Every claim is tested on the bench, usually by breaking something.

TechnologyTeknolohiya

Programming a real microcontroller: variables, loops, inputs, outputs, PWM, Bluetooth. Not block code — the same Arduino C++ used in industry.

EngineeringInhinyeriya

Design → build → test → fix. Parametric CAD, 3D printing, failure analysis after every fight.

Maths — 12+ extensionMatematika

V = IR, duty cycle, percentages and ratios, read off real meters. A boxed extension for older pupils; the core work is predict-test-observe and runs at any age.

At EnglishAnd English

Instructions and explanations are in Tagalog. Technical part names stay in English — resistor, MOSFET, breadboard, PWM — because that is what is printed on the part, what a datasheet says, and what pupils will meet in any further study. Every label on screen shows Tagalog first and English beneath it, seen repeatedly next to the object in the pupil's hand. That is comprehensible input: vocabulary attached to something already understood, which holds far better than a word list.

We are careful not to oversell this. The course builds technical vocabulary and reading exposure. It does not teach grammar or conversation, and we would rather say so than invite that comparison.

Paano tumatakbo ang klaseHow a session runs

Ano ang hinihingi naminWhat we ask of a school

A room, a table, and a TV or a wall to project on. That is the whole list. We bring everything else, we charge nothing, and the pupils keep what they learn.

Interested? Come and see a session, or send a pupil to one. The lessons are public — start with lesson 1 below.
